The city of
Emmett is known as the ‘Valley of Plenty is a
small, quaint city in Gem County and is about a
45 minute drive from the city of Boise. When
driving over highway 16 into Emmet your eyes

including the oldest running festival in Idaho,
the Emmett Cherry Festival. This entertaining
event is held annually during the month of June
and surrounded by amazing 100-year old trees in
the Emmett City Park.

The Payette River runs through the city and
valley supplying much needed water to the many
acres of farmland. The Payette river also

kayaking and fishing. In the hills above Emmett
you will find Little Gem Cycle Park. Little Gem
Cycle Park which has acres of hills and valleys,
along with miles and miles of trails for
4-wheeling, ridding your ATV and of course dirt
biking. The Gem Island Sports Complex is
a 57-acre island facility providing recreational
opportunities, including a eight baseball
fields, soccer fields, paved walking paths, a
fun skate
board park, several basketball courts, volleyball
courts, soccer fields, an
amphitheater, and a stocked
fishing pond that is fun for everyone in the
