 Meridian
is situated at the center of the Treasure Valley
and enjoys many distinct advantages due to its
central valley location, and continues to be one

located in southwest Idaho, and is a short 15
minute drive to the downtown area of Boise.
Meridian, like many of the areas cities, is known

Like all Treasure Valley cities, Meridian is
served by the Boise municipal airport which
offers daily service from most of the major
airlines. I can personally tell you that flying
in and out of the Boise airport is an absolute
pleasure. Rarely will you see a long line getting
through security, parking is a dream, and on
average, it is a short 15 minute drive from
Meridian.
Like many of
the communities in the Treasure Valley,
recreational opportunities abound in Meridian.
In addition to hiking, biking, fishing, hunting,
golfing, you can also enjoy kayaking on the
Boise river, as well as rafting on the swift
currents streams in the area or simply enjoying
a leisurely float down the river. On average,
Meridian will get a few inches of
snow a few times a year, while the mountains
surrounding Meridian will receive enough snow
throughout the year for residents to enjoy a
full season of snow skiing. Bogus Basin is a
popular destination for day trips and is less
than an hours drive from the Meridian city
limits. Of course there are several other
opportunities for the skiing enthusiast, and all
within easy driving distance from Meridian, and include the
city of McCall, with Brundidge ski resort, and Sun
Valley, which is considered one of the premier
places to ski in the country. |
